Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive employee relations strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Create and maintain policies and procedures that promote a positive work environment and align with organizational goals.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Address and resolve employee conflicts and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate actions.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in employment laws and advise management on necessary adjustments to policies and practices.
- Employment Compliance:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, responsible for all handbooks.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to compliance standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on compliance-related matters.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on handling employee relations issues.
- Employee Engagement:
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Conduct employee surveys and focus groups to gather feedback, analyze exit interviews, and identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Use data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of employee relations initiatives.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR leadership, legal counsel, and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to employee relations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations matters.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in employee relations or a related HR function, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
