Overview

The senior systems analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing complex information systems that meet the needs of Red Lobster. This includes assessing existing systems, identifying business requirements, and recommending solutions that will improve efficiency and productivity. The purpose of the senior analyst is to ensure that the organization's technology infrastructure is efficient, aligned with business goals, and effective. This role plays a critical role in identifying and resolving technical issues, implementing new technologies, and ensuring that systems are secure and reliable. Successful outcomes include meeting project deadlines, continual improvement, and increased customer satisfaction. Communication is critical and the senior analyst will successfully communicate with varying levels of stakeholders while solving complex and innovative infrastructure initiatives.

Essential/Primary Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities

  • Evaluates business requirements, consults with personnel from various departments and identifies areas for the development of technical solutions to automate and/or improve business processes.
  • Performs system design including system specifications, flowcharts, and other system diagrams.
  • Evaluates technology to determine potential and to improve the organizations footprint.
  • Monitors progress of project work to ensure that project deadlines are met within defined outcomes and success metrics.
  • Conducts tests to ensure quality and ensure systems are error-free.
  • Leads and mentors other team members to help develop their technical skill and understanding of different systems.
  • Documents system designs, specifications and procedures ensuring they are easily understood and maintained.
  • Provides recommendations on new or enhanced systems, software, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Conduct independent research, interpret highly technical documents, draw valid conclusions, develop technological solutions, take appropriate actions and/or make appropriate recommendation related to complex IT problems.


Job Requirements (Skills & Experience)

Must Haves:

  • M365 Administration
  • Identity and access management (e.g., Active Directory/Azure AD, Group Policy, SSO, cloud RBAC, MIM, hierarchy, and federation).
  • Operating systems (e.g., Windows and Linux, including scripting experience).
  • Device Management platforms (e.g., inTune, JAMF, SSCM)
  • Monitoring tools.
  • Scripting (Powershell)
  • Cloud provider frameworks (e.g., Well-Architected).
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • SIEM platforms for logging and alerting for both Ops and OpSec.


Nice to Haves:

  • Capacity to utilize experience, technical knowledge, and business sense to resolve issues and questions and plan and accomplish project/task goals.
  • Ability to develop process documentation and develop solutions using diagrams based on customer collaboration.
  • DevOps tooling such as CI/ CD (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps/ADO, GitHub, GitLab).
  • Virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Database technologies and caching (e.g., MSSQL, NoSQL, Redis).
  • Scalable architectures, including APIs, microservices, and PaaS.
  • Implementing resilience (e.g., multi-AZ, multi-region, backup, and recovery tools).
  • Storage Engineering experience
  • Certificate Management

Education and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Five or more years of related experience in similar roles
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience


Desirable:

  • Cloud provider certifications preferred or able to obtain in one year: AZ-104, MS-102


Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist, and turn.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
