Overview
The Manager of Compensation reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and is responsible for designing, implementing, and administering all compensation programs, policies, and guidelines for all employees.

The Manager of Compensation reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and is responsible for designing, implementing, and administering all compensation programs, policies, and guidelines for all employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, administer, and communicate Red Lobster's compensation plans for US and Canada.
- Ensure the consistent application of our pay philosophy, align market cost competitiveness, and drive the pay for performance culture.
- Drive and successfully implement high priority projects, annual compensation cycles, and corporate initiated projects.
- Equip business leaders and HR with knowledge, skill and capability around core compensation and plans and processes.
- Administer executive compensation programs.
- Demonstrate a deep and broad technical knowledge of all compensation practices, stay up to date on the latest trends in the industry, and show an understanding of the latest legal developments in compensation.
- Monitor compensation, and legislative trends in the competitive market and ensure programs are designed to attract/retain high-performers and key talent.
- Participate in the selection and management of all vendors, brokers, and administrative partners.
- Oversee the annual merit and bonus programs including ongoing internal pay analysis to market.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to managers around job analysis, job descriptions and pay equity.
- Oversee Red Lobster's participation in third-party salary surveys and compensation systems.
- Promote team effectiveness, provide clear direction, set and monitors high standards of excellence, proactively and fairly resolve performance problems.
- Communicate positive expectations when developing others, readily share knowledge and advice, provide candid, balanced, and regular feedback.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree, preferably in an HR related field
- 5 years of experience in Compensation
- 2 years of experience in Project Management
- Extensive knowledge/experience in Compensation plan design, implementation, and administration in large corporations
- PeopleSoft and Cornerstone experience preferred
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Strong ability to build relationships in a collaborative environment
- Strong ability to persuade/influence others
- Understands other business functions and how they come together to create results and value
- Can interact comfortably and effectively with executives and front-line employees
