HR Business Partner

OVERVIEW

The purpose of the job is to serve as the business partner and HR Consultant to the Regional Vice Presidents of Operations (RVPs) and their division. As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will develop strong relationships with managers in the restaurants and at all levels of the organization you support, as well as with business partners on the Human Resources team to meet the evolving talent needs of the business. As an experienced, hands-on, proactive leader, you will be responsible for leading and executing effective and efficient HR services that drive employee engagement and value and live the Red Lobster core values. Below are key responsibilities of this role as well as any related project work as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition:

  • Partner with RVP and Directors to understand talent needs and build effective recruitment strategies
  • Developing strategies for the efficient and effective recruitment, selection, and retention of hourly and management staff
  • Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, colleges, and industry partners
  • Champion employer branding initiatives to attract diverse talent and enhance the company's reputation as an employer of choice

Talent Development:

  • In partnership with Talent Development team, align strategies to continuously grow talent from within at all levels within Operations
  • Work with Operations Leaders to identify high-potential employees and assist in creating succession plans
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning, to ensure employee growth and retention

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related concerns, resolving issues with professionalism and discretion
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on handling employee relations issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
  • Investigate employee complaints and concerns while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies
  • Promote a positive work environment by addressing employee morale, engagement, and organizational culture initiatives
  • Advise on policy development and updates to ensure consistency and fairness in addressing employee relations matters

HR Strategy and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals and strategic objectives
  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends, anticipate HR needs, and provide data-driven insights to leadership
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs that support the company's culture and business objectives
  • Participate in organizational development initiatives and support change management efforts during times of growth and transition

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and conflict resolution strategies
  • Excellent at coaching, conflict resolution, and building strong relationships across all organizational levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Experience in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
